History:
- Fused glass techniques were used by both the ancient Egyptians and the Romans starting as early as 2000 BC.
- Fusing glass was the primary method of making glass objects for thousands of years.
In ancient Egypt and Rome, Fused glass objects were highly valued particularly by the wealthy, and it held the same value as gold.
Technique:
- The objects are made by stacking or layering thin sheets of glass, various colors are used to produce patterns or images between layers.
- The artwork is then fired in a kiln at 2000 degrees.
- The colors and designs are fused between sheets of glass so the pattern and colors are inside of the glassware

Eternal Grace Art of Glass is dedicated to providing the best quality, handmade, fused glass artwork. The glassware is created by artists in Istanbul, Turkey. These craftsmen continue to perfect the techniques passed down to them from masters of the trade. The glassware is both functional and decorative. While it can be beautifully displayed it has various other uses as well. It is all dishwasher and food safe and a lovely gift for any occasion, including weddings, birthdays, Valentines Day and other holidays. Our product is multipurpose.
